About Sinfonian Barelytone...

Welcome to my continuing garden adventure here in the Seattle area (Zone 8b). At 37, I hope to improve the variety and quality of the food my family eats. My 5 and 2 year olds and I are excited to grow food for our family all year long and work to eat better. Along the way, I hope to learn all I can about vegetable gardening and pass along the knowledge to future generations. Enjoy your garden!

Ah, time sure flies.  It seems like just yesterday my youngest was born, and now he turned three last week, and we’ve been celebrating ever since.  Good times.
Still, gardening has been done, and I’ve tried to take pics of whatever I did to share.  Mostly I’ve watered, especially the tomatoes.  They’re drinking tons in this [...]

Boy am I tired… /sigh too much time playing Farm Town on Facebook with my wife.  I should have known my addictive personality would latch onto it. Thankfully though my youngest and I did some real gardening before hand.  Actually I got a ton accomplished in about an hour outside with my son.  He sure [...]

Short post tonight.  We celebrated my father-in-law’s 60th birthday today.  It was fun, but that meant I didn’t get out into the garden to do anything tonight.  That said, there are a few things I wanted to mention tonight.
First is that although my potato bin traffic has dropped off quite a bit, I just reached [...]
