About Sinfonian Barelytone...

Welcome to my continuing garden adventure here in the Seattle area (Zone 8b). At 37, I hope to improve the variety and quality of the food my family eats. My 5 and 2 year olds and I are excited to grow food for our family all year long and work to eat better. Along the way, I hope to learn all I can about vegetable gardening and pass along the knowledge to future generations. Enjoy your garden!

I did of course water, since we had tons [...]

Boy, I am shocked at the strong opinions dancing around my Monsanto post half a year later.  I guess it must show up on some google search or something.  Anyway, I always appreciate gardening opinions, since there’s never a right or wrong way to do things in gardening.  There are of course, 100 ways to [...]

Well, for the first time since I started this blog over a year ago, I don’t quite feel like blogging tonight. There is too much going on and I’m feeling lazy.  However, I got a fair amount done today so the desire to share overwhelmed the desire to sit on my can and read a [...]

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
Of course for me, it was another day of work, with major wind and rain this morning.  I mean pouring rain and fierce winds.  Not bad for some, but for us anti-umbrella Seattleites, it wasn’t so great.  Despite a mad dash to the car after checking out the garden, and running to [...]
